Instrument Flying – Multi Tasking is a muscle that you can make stronger!
IFR training has been a long and slow journey for me, but this sort of skill building mission reminded me that even after I get the rating, I am going to want to do things like this (with a CFI or safety pilot) to keep my skills sharp.
Huge thanks to Jason Miller for being willing to share this awesome training. Please give him some love and subscribe to his Youtube channel: The Finer Points
And an extra shout out to CloudAhoy for being a big part of helping to tell this fairly complicated story. Their link is below as they have been a long time supportive sponsor, but here it is again up here – absolutely the best flight debriefing tool available!

FLIGHT CHOPS DISCLAIMER:
I am a “weekend warrior” private pilot, I fly for fun with no intentions of going commercial. I have had my PPL for over 15 years, but still consider each flight a learning experience – I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve…. Having the GoPro cameras to record flights like this is invaluable. I find these self analysis videos very helpful in my constant quest to improve, and am happy to share. Feedback is invited; however, please keep it positive.
