In this episode of FlightChops, we’re Flying in the DHC-2 Beaver through Prince William Sound, the site of the 1989 Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, to learn that the 2011 tsunami in Japan along with general pollution is now causing hundreds of miles of pristine coastal beaches to become an inadvertent dumping ground and collection point for tons of primarily plastic debris. Our oceans, rivers, and beaches are becoming filled with plastic and trash.
As part of the #TeamSeas initiative (www.teamseas.org), the goal is to raise $30M to remove 30M pounds of plastic and trash from oceans, rivers and waterways. See more below and how you can donate and become a part of this amazing effort.
